CIVL Releases Brand New Single “On Some” feat. Kristenic0le

Michael Kepko, set out to kick the year off with a bang. In late 2018, former vocalist, Kepko, transitioned his full band, Civil Youth, to a become a pop solo artist, named CIVL. Today, CIVL has released, “On Some” (written by Kepko and Evan Seeberger), featuring Kristenic0le. The mood and lyrical content is a lot different from the typical Civil Youth sound, but offers an organic approach to a new style of music for Kepko. Heavily influences from artists like Blackbear and Zayn, CIVL is utilizing this genre to establish a unique and smooth transition of pop, rock, and alternative.

Kepko had this to say:

“Changing over from Civil Youth to CIVL within the last few months has been really exciting and given me the opportunity to expand what I’m doing musically. With “On Some” I wanted to get it clear that I’m only limited by the boundaries I set for myself and more than ever I want people to be able to dance and have a good time listening. I’m having a ton of fun writing in this new genre. Coming from an established background and support from fans has made the transition even more smooth. I’m beyond excited for what 2019 has in store when the rest of these songs are our and I start hitting the road again!”
