UNDEROATH NOMINATED FOR BEST METAL PERFORMANCE GRAMMY FOR “ON MY TEETH”

BAND TO PLAY FIRST-EVER HEADLINE ARENA SHOW ON DECEMBER 14

BAND ALSO CONFIRMED FOR FIRST ARENA TOUR THIS MARCH SUPPORTING BREAKING BENJAMIN

Underoath have been nominated for their first-ever performance Grammy. The band notched a nomination in the Best Metal Performance category for “On My Teeth.” The song appears on the band’s latest album, Erase Me, out now via Fearless Records. The band was previously nominated for two Grammys in packaging and video categories.

Underoath are also currently on the home stretch of their Fall 2019 headline tour with Dance Gavin Dance, Crown the Empire, and The Plot in You. The remaining dates are below, including another first for the band. Underoath will play their first-ever arena show in their hometown of Tampa, Florida at the Yuengling Center on December 14. It’s their only home show this year, as well. The band will also embark on its first-ever arena tour in support of Breaking Benjamin in March 2019.

This new nomination caps off a banner year for the band. Erase Me is Underoath’s first new album in eight years. The band has embarked on several sold-out headline tours and received massive press and radio support upon release.

“Surreal. Gratitude doesn’t even begin to express what we’re feeling. Wild, wild times,” the band said about the nomination.

Erase Me represents a watershed moment for the gold-selling heavy music luminaries whose inescapable influence can be felt in nearly every corner of hard rock. Not only did it mark the group’s first new album since 2010, but it crashed the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums Chart at #1 and vaulted into the Top 20 of the Billboard Top 200. It sees the band refine its trend-setting but inimitable style with heavy intensity and hypnotic hooks coursing through songs like the aforementioned “On My Teeth,” “Rapture,” “Wake Me,” and “It Has to Start Somewhere,” which have cumulatively tallied over 10 million streams in a few months’ time — a rare and impressive feat for any rock band.
