Interview With David Ellefson on Metal Allegiance 5yr Anniversary Shows and More

We had the pleasure in catching up with David Ellefson of Megadeth and Metal Allegiance about the upcoming Metal Allegiance show out at The Van Buren this Wednesday, April 17th 2019.

Of course, it’s always great to catch up with him when he has some free time of all his amazing projects. We talk a bit about everything on this one.

First things first… this is the 5th anniversary of Metal Allegiance. The kick off will be right here in Phoenix, AZ at The Van Buren with other shows in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Francisco.

The Phoenix show will also have some special guests such as the member from Flotsam and Jetsam & Sacred Reich. Also making an appearance will be Max Cavalera of Soulfly, Sepultura & Cavalera Conspiracy. Also joining the crew will be Troy Sanders, Chuck Billy and Phil Demmel

We also talk a little bit about what David would be doing if he wasn’t where hs is now, to giving advice to fans and even local bands. Some words from the legend to the locals. Pay attention to the people in the room. Are they responding to what you are doing?? If they aren’t you might want to think about changing what you are doing. Even David has been in projects to which things didn’t work. But he saw the signs and moved along and changed things up.

Towards the end we touch base a little on Ellefson Coffee Co. as well as his EMP Label Group. David also mentions first ever proper solo “David Ellefson” release, SLEEPING GIANTS!! A companion “soundtrack” LP to his upcoming book MORE LIFE WITH DETH, featuring a collection of new and unreleased tracks, and unreleased demo material from F5, and other projects i’ve done over the years, will be in stores July 5th from Combat Records!!! Pre-order here on CD/LP bundles. “More Life With Deth” which can be purchased HERE. You can also check out a teaser video of the title track HERE.

Other upcoming stuff involving David is Megadeth has some upcoming shows in August as well as the Mega Cruise in October. Be sure to check out all links and sites for any other upcoming shows, and events.

On that note, we at Global AZ Media thank David Ellefson for taking the time again and we hope to see you all out at the show this Wednesday at The Van Buren and hope some of you can make it to the other shows mentioned.
