LIVING DEAD GIRL has revealed artwork and pre-order information for Exorcism, the debut from the up-and-coming Canadian metal powerhouse.
âI am beyond thrilled to finally be able to share our debut record after four years of working on it,â says vocalist Molly Rennick. âI was such a perfectionist with it. I kept scrapping entire EPsâ worth of material and restarting, trying to nail the sound I was after. After working with Mitchell Marlow (Papa Roach, In This Moment, All That Remains), we were able to nail it. Itâs heavy and dark, but upbeat, fun and drenched in sexy attitude. The sound and vibe of this record are new and fresh, and Iâm prouder of it than anything else Iâve done in my 22 years on this planet. I couldnât be any more excited to unleash it!â
Exorcism digital pre-orders are available today at https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/livingdeadgirl1/exorcism-2.Additional bundles, including physical CDs, vinyl and exclusive merchandise are available at www.livingdeadgirl.ca/.
On Exorcismâs 11 banging tracks, Rennick channels her inner âgoth girl gone badâ attitude. From the raging, down-tuned riffs of the title track and âWorship Me,â to the infectious, singalong chorus of âVillain,â to the enticing, taunting melodies of âBeautifulâ and âAlive,â Rennick commands your full attention. LIVING DEAD GIRL has already released two singles and videos from Exorcism, the anthemic âAlive,â which received airplay on Torontoâs mainstream rock station 94.9 The Rock, 89.1 Max FM in Barrie, Orilia and the Muskokas, X92.9 Calgary, X100.7 – Red Deerâs Alternative and CBC Radio Canada online, the title track and âEscape.â
Formed in 2017, LIVING DEAD GIRLâs style is a unique combination of goth-inspired heavy metal meets fellow Canadian frontwoman Avril Lavigne, possessing an amalgam of genres including rock, metal, industrial, goth, pop and punk rock. The music perfectly encapsulates Rennickâs personality, which she admits is a dichotomy of âone wears baby pink and Hello Kitty and listens to pop music, and the other a goth girl in fishnet stockings who listens to dark heavy metal.â The 21-year-old Rennickâs amazing vocal range sees her seamlessly switching from taunting, high-pitched croons, to menacing, harsh barks, to haunting growls with relative ease.
