The Bronx Team with Every Time I Die’s Jordan Buckley for “High Five”

The Bronx, who are in the midst of an extensive U.S. tour with Dropkick Murphys and Rancid, have teamed up with Every Time I Die’s Jordan Buckley for a limited-edition 7-inch of “High Five,” as well as an exclusive collection of merch items featuring Buckley’s art for the single.

“We have known Jordan for almost 20 years now,” explains The Bronx frontman Matt Caughthran. “His band, Every Time I Die, and The Bronx came up together and we are both kicking maximum ass all over the world. Jordan’s art is super detailed, original, and fun; just like the man himself. It’s an honor to have him involved with the Bronx VI campaign, honestly he was one of the first people we thought to work with on a track.”

The 7-inch and merch items are available via Thebronxxx.com.

The SoCal band have made the release of their sixth album much more than a standard album release, working with a variety of artists and musicians to create unique collectibles and art pieces that not only add visuals to the music but also represent the world The Bronx lives within. From Dogtown’s Craig Stecyk’s unique glyphs showing up on a Bronx VI skateboard, to LA-by-way-of-Australia duo DabsMyla’s striking imagery for “Superbloom,” U.K. graffiti artist/typographer Gary Stranger’s artwork for “Peace Pipe,” a “White Shadow” themed NFT in associated with cult punk/hardcore/Dead & Co. graphic designer Jeremy Dean and an Estevan Oriol-directed video for “Curb Feelers.”

Bronx VI (https://thebronx.lnk.to/bronxviPR) has been hailed for its “tight, joyous rock’n’roll” (Consequence of Sound), with Brooklyn Vegan saying “it’s classic fucking Bronx alright,” Revolver calling the 11-song album “high octane” and Kerrang! declaring them the “perfect punk band”

Over the Los Angeles-based band’s 19 year career, The Bronx have released six original albums under their original namesake, and three albums under their alter ego, Mariachi El Bronx. Both iterations of the now legendary SoCal outfit have been hailed for harnessing the “unleashed cries of youthful blue-collar anguish” (Los Angeles Times), and for writing “hard-hitting and catchy hard rock tracks” (Loudwire). The Bronx is Matt Caughthran (vocals), Joby J. Ford (guitar), Ken Horne (guitar), Brad Magers (bass) and Joey Castillo (drums).
