Spiritbox have dropped a heavy, industrial-tinged new banger called “Rotoscope.” with surprise new EP.

Last year, Spiritbox released their long-awaited debut album, Eternal Blue, who we and many others dubbed one of the best albums of 2021. Since then, the Canadian metal crew have been killing it on the live circuit, and while they recently dropped a collaborative track with electronic producer ILLENIUM and teased that fans “might hate” the new songs they have written, we didn’t really expect to hear any brand new material from the band in 2022.

We were wrong. Today (June 22nd), with just a few hours warning, Spiritbox have surprise-dropped a three-song EP called Rotoscope, along with a music video for its title track.

While Spiritbox’s music has never settled into one sound in particular, this new release explores an industrial and ’90s-style alt-metal side of the band that sounds unlike anything they’ve released so far. Not that we’re surprised, but it’s a sound that suits them extremely well. Listen to all three songs above and below via YouTube.
