In their first US headline tour in five years, VNV Nation has not only smashed all musical expectations, but displayed the ability to transport their audience back 20 years.
Arriving early, I was able to meet up with Mr. Ronan Harris of VNV Nation for what I thought would be a quick interview. However, we went well beyond the 30min mark so some of the interview did get cut out. We did cover quite a bit of info though during this time, and I greatly appreciate and thank him for all his time. We talked about everything from the beginning of VNV Nation to Ronan building a studio to have more freedom during the pandemic as well as past touring and future touring and music. You can check the full interview out below.
After the interview since it was still super early before the show, I decided to grab a couple slices from the amazing Ziggys Magic Pizza Shop next door who also has a little hidden speakeasy/arcade in the back 🙂
Once the doors opened I wanted to get in early to grab my merch for the night. When out covering shows I like to support the bands the best I can. So, each show/band I cover I’ll grab something from the booth. So, this evening I picked up the VNV Nation button down work shirt along with the latest vinyl release Electric Sun from VNV Nation. I also made sure I picked up a shirt from Traitrs which is an art post-punk band based out of Toronto, Canada.
VNV Nation played an amazing set filled with songs from new to old and all the amazing hits to go along with it along with a double encore!
