While there is no official release date yet, 3 From Hell is one of the projects I am most looking forward to this year. As Rob Zombie‘s follow-up to The Devil’s Rejects, the film promises to be yet another trip and gory descend into the horror genre for Zombie. While he is a divisive talent, Zombie’s unique eye is something that is much appreciated in the horror genre.
Zombie made news recently in revealing that 3 From Hell had recently been completed, but it appears he may have spoken too soon. In an Instagram post clarifying his announcement, Zombie confirmed that while the film is not yet finished, it is a few months away from completion.
“So folks seem confused by my post saying I completed my Rejects trilogy. I said the trilogy is complete but the movie 3 From Hell is not finished yet. Still got a couple months of work left. It’s getting there and it is fucking awesome.”
This may disappointing news to see for some fans, but its not entirely surprising. 3 From Hell still does not have an official release date, meaning that is still months away from hitting theaters or streaming platforms. Personally, I would rather see a filmmaker take his time fine-tuning the final product rather than rushing it out as soon as possible.
Either way, 3 From Hell could be one of the most-talked about horror releases of the year (if its released), with Zombie’s penchant for shocking moments likely to make a big impact on audiences.
